Rambling about Hussies in Wales.
At 00:01 yesterday morning the Hussies were at Waterstones in the Merry Hill Centre buying Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
We'd queued for a little while, munching on lolly pops and slurping Starbucks iced late, did a HP questionnaire given to us by the store - winner gets a prize, don't think it'll be me, I gave blatantly slashy answers about Sirius and Lupin.
We made friends with the dude handing out books (cute smile!) bought our copies and legged it home.
Psycho Hussy and I did a reading of the first 2 chapters then we locked away all the books and went to bed (or, more accurately, grabbed a sleeping bag and an inch of space on the living room floor).
We got up about 8:30 - chaos ensued as all Hussies and Mates tried to get ready to leave the house at the same time - we finally got out about 9:30am.
We headed for Wales and the Elan Valley, with surprisingly few mishaps. We spent a glorious day reading our new books with feet dangling in the river, pausing to river hop or skim a few stones. We had a special picnic lunch for the First Mate's birthday then more reading and river hopping.
Bliss!
We left Elan Valley at about 8pm and headed home in convoy. Again surprisingly few problems - oh, Psycho Hussy did nearly kill one car full with her driving skills (or lack thereof) but apart from that all went well.
We limped back into my kitchen just after 10pm for a quick cuppa before the Hussies departed and I went to bed. I had fully intended to read HP all night but ended up crashing out instead.
It was a wonderful day, good times with good people. My favourite pass-time, friends, a river in the mountains and a good book - what more does a girl need?!
...Apart from slash of course ;-)
So endeth another Hussy Adventure.

I do feel like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't read HP though!
Of course, I made up for it by reading lots of lovely Qui/Obi lovin' this weekend. ;-)
I'm giggling wondering what Waterstone's will make of your slashy answers!

I have now finished HP and finally stopped crying so now I need something to read...hmmm, *eyes M&A Archive on favourites list* Bonza!
Waterstones would probably ban me from the store if I hadn't given them J's name and address instead of my own *evil grin*...they might ban him though!
*hugs*

I have a friend who does a Fozzie Bear impression using Aragorn's closing lines in RotK and it is just too funny for words! Disturbing - definately, but amusing at the same time!
*waves to fiance*
Hope you're both happy and well.
